The Effect of Social Media on Cosmetic Surgery in Houston

Houston Cosmetic Surgery | Facial ProductsSocial media is everywhere.  No matter where you go or where you look, you will see people posting to Facebook, tweeting on Twitter, or browsing pictures on Pinterest.    It’s just the way things are in today’s society, and as a business you have to try and keep up, or risk falling behind your competitors.  That’s why more and more cosmetic surgeons, ourselves included, have their very own Facebook and Twitter pages designed to inform people of the latest industry news and trends.

Through these pages, we are able to give valuable tips and post newsworthy articles that may move a Houston resident to get a face lift or other forms of plastic surgery from us.   At the very least, anyone in Houston following our cosmetic surgery related posts on social media will feel more knowledgeable if they ever do decide to go under the knife.

Now, don’t be fooled, there are things we don’t like about social media.   We don’t like constant shameless self-promotion that some companies use to try and win new customers.    Dr. Ed Piña, our head cosmetic surgeon, feels strongly that people don’t want to be bombarded with a sell-sell-sell approach on social media.   It’s his belief that the best way to get new clients using this approach is by providing relevant, timely information that anyone considering cosmetic surgery would want to know.   Do you agree?
