Houston cosmetic surgery isn’t going to just be a“girl-thing” anymore.

According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the number of males going through with plastic surgery is on the rise.   A recent article indicates that almost 800,000 men underwent plastic surgery in 2011.  In fact, last year 9% of all cosmetic surgery procedures were done on men.  That represents a 121% increase since 1997.   The most common procedures for men include liposuction, rhinoplasty, and eyelid surgery.

Why do you think that more men are opting for plastic surgery?   Do you think the downturn in the economy and the intense competition for jobs might be forcing more males to concern themselves with their appearance?

Ladies, how would you feel about your man undergoing a plastic surgery procedure?   Has your boyfriend or husband ever considered it or done it?
